Twitch Streamer

Created a content-first streamer template that prioritizes video and live streams over heavy visual styling.

Template Design Content-First UX PERSONAL

This project was my first attempt at creating a reusable website template. The goal was to design a promotional site for a video game streamer on Twitch, giving them a central place to showcase their live stream, videos, and content outside of the Twitch platform.

The template was intended to support self-promotion by bringing all of a streamer’s content into one location, with the primary focus placed on the live stream and recorded video content rather than visual styling details.

Many streamers rely solely on Twitch to host and promote their content, which limits their ability to control layout, branding, and content hierarchy. There is a need for a lightweight external website that allows streamers to centralise their content, highlight their stream, and provide additional context without distracting from the primary viewing experience.

The challenge was to design a simple, functional layout that prioritised stream visibility while remaining easy to navigate.

There was minimal focus on colour within this template. Neutral colours were intentionally used so that banners, thumbnails, and stream imagery could stand out without visual competition.

By keeping the colour palette restrained, the design ensures that attention is directed toward the content itself rather than the interface.

Typography was not a primary focus for this project. A basic, readable typeface was used with limited variation in weight and colour to avoid drawing attention away from the stream and video content.

The approach prioritised clarity over personality, supporting the content rather than defining a strong brand voice.

This project represents an early stage in my design journey. While visual systems and pattern consistency were not fully developed, it helped establish foundational thinking around content hierarchy, prioritisation, and designing around a single dominant feature.
